Library advocates: We need your help - again!
The President has proposed eliminating funding for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the only federal agency dedicated to library and museum services.
This would be a significant blow to libraries across the country, including right here in our commiunity.
Congress needs to hear from constituents in support of federal library funding — and your voice matters.
How to Help
Contact your Senators and ask them to sign Senator Jack Reed's "Dear Appropriator" letter by the April 17 deadline to protect vital library programs. To make it easy, the American Library Association (ALA) has set up a pre-filled message form so you can contact your Senator in just a few minutes. Simply enter your information and submit — it's that simple.
Rather call your Senator? Here's an easy way to do that too!
Spread the Word
Share this post with a family member, friend, or neighbor who loves libraries and ask them to take action. Every message counts!
Need more? For complete details, visit the ALA's #FundLibraries page.
A few minutes of your time can help protect critical library funding for communities everywhere.
